I continue to praise God for Him sending Stephanie Wijesinghe to the mission who is currently serving as treasurer. It has been a process for making the conversion, but with Gods help, it is all coming together. Continue to pray for Stephanie as she continues to move forward serving God in this was as well as all the board members who work to secure the needs of the mission.

 

We have been blessed by Pinedale Christian Church to secure the cost for the 12th grade this year as with the 10th and 11th grades in past years. I love how God uses everyone to meet the needs of the mission and so many of our supporters to go above and beyond their normal monthly gifts. I want to say a special thanks to Fletcher C.C. and Parkview C.C. for continuing to support the food program and Bethany C.C., Stone Memorial C.C., Mathews Chapel Church of Christ, Grace Fellowship, Western Hills C.C., First Christian Church of Inverness, Rural Hall Church of Christ, Lynchburg Church of Christ and Peachtree City C.C. as well as all our individual supporters that make it a priority to serve God in this mission.

 

At our last board meeting on July 18, 2026, we agreed to attend the ICOM Missions Conference in September of this year. Melio will be making the trip over, God willing, and he will be visiting churches during this time.

 

We also discussed making a team trip to the mission in February of 2027. The last trip there was on March 21, 2021, when Gyna and I had to hire a private plane to fly us from Pourt-Au-Prince to Gonaives dirt airfield. Currently the gangs are still causing a lot of chaos and suffering for many of the Haitians, but their concentration is just outside Gonaives with their focus being in Port-Au-Prince. Other mission teams have been entering through Cap Haitian recently and has had good success getting in and out without any issues. This will be the route we will take if indeed we make the trip. We are holding the team size to seven individuals and currently have five board members that are planning to go. It is important to go lift them up and praise God with them for all He has done for the mission. They have had no interaction with anyone from outside Haiti for five and one-half years now. We desire to be the hands and feet of our Lord Jesus to tell them we still are here for them and desire to share in their trials with them. Please be in prayer for the teams discernment, protection and success.

 

One of the continued needs at the mission is to build a new kitchen for the ladies who suffer the heat in Haiti and the added heat of a kitchen. The kitchen they are using is a makeshift panel building with wire fence to let some air through. They have continued to do the will of God by cooking in this environment, and we would like to secure funds to build a new kitchen and hopefully add some type of cooling element into it to lessen the extreme heat. The cost of the new kitchen is estimated at $19,000.00. This has been a need for several years, but with the need to expand the school grades taking priority, we have not put emphasis on it until now. If you know of anyone that may be interested, please share this need with them.
