Greetings in the name of our Mighty God from Gyna and Melio.
Gyna and I strongly believe that we cannot start this new year without saying a big thank you to all our good and faithful supporters. Yes, you have been very faithful to us because in spite of your daily issues, you always make sure that all goes well at Sonlight.
We do not have enough words to express our gratitude toward you all for what you have done and are doing for the mission. Thank you very much for your prayers, money, advice and love for Sonlight and my family. A very special thank you from the staff and the Church members for the solar system and foods money. There will be many individuals blessed by these gifts.
Please continue to pray for Haiti, Gyna and Christian (my son).
May God bless you forever and thank you!!!

Your prayers are always needed for Haiti and the Mission
"Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made know to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus."
Prayer request and Praises:
-
God’s continued protection over the mission
-
For the government to start school on January 9, 2023, as planned.
-
Pray for Christin who just turned 19 and is at Andy Bresnock’ home in Georgia for his education.
-
Praise God for His protection over the school since 11/28/22 and for the safety of the men and solar power system getting to the mission without the gang’s interception.
Thank you all for your interest, commitment and /or prayers for the mission. I know without the prayers of you all, we would not be where we are today. I praise God for each one of you.

These two pictures show the solar panel system that arrived at the mission on 12/18/22 to be installed.

These two pictures show 123 bags of rice, beans, and oil that the SCM ladies prepared and handed out to needy families that was purchased from food funds sent in November. The second picture shows bags of rice was purchased with December funds to be prepped and handed out.

On November 13, 2022
SCM celebrated 17 years at their homecoming.
There were 400 in attendance and everyone enjoyed a wonderful meal together.

Living conditions in Haiti deteriorated over the past several years to the point that on September 25, 2022 the need for a solar panel system was realized when fuel wasn’t available for the missions generator. The government being in disarray from lacking a president to oversee the country needs had put the country in turmoil and the gangs in control of the fuel import station in Port-Au-Prince. Once we put out the call for this great need to run the mission’s water well and purification system to serve them and the surrounding villages for clean potable water, funds started pouring in. Melio always tells me nothing is impossible for God when we seemingly face the impossible, and this need was answered in a amazing time period and with an abundance of funds. We needed $30909.00 to purchase and install the system. By the end of October, we had all funds needed to pay for the system and additional funds came in through November that were designated to purchase emergency food family packs for those starving due to the situation there. As of the wire I sent on January 01, 2023, funds for emergency food sent totaled $12,579.
On 11/28/22 school started at the mission to prepare the children for the government start date on January 09, 2023. They did not wear their uniforms as to not draw attention to them by the gang members. Pray the government will start the new school year on January 09, 2023, as planned.
Thank you all always,
Kenny Lovelace, Treasurer
