4th Quarter 2025 October 1, 2025

Greetings to everyone, we pray each one of you are well and feeling the peace of our great God. The past three months have been full of blessings for the mission. The church held two separate VBS events for the children over the summer in which they were taught about serving God, received a meal each day and had a lot of fun.
The Van that was sent down arrived in Cap Haitian and Melio was able to pick it up on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, and took to the mission. We praise God for His protection over them for the trip. Melio stated it was a difficult day, but the Lord saw them through, and he praised God for it!

Melio will be coming to the states from November 7th to December 11th to visit several churches and attend the ICOM (International Conference of Missions) in Atlanta, GA on November 19th to the 22nd. The SCM board members will be attending ICOM also in hopes of promoting the mission for prayer and new financial support. After ICOM, Melio will go and spend some time with his family in Floridia. Please be in prayer for this trip. As we know all travel in Haiti is dangerous and we ask for this trip to be a success for Gods will in it.
God bless you all, Kenneth Lovelace, Treasurer
Your prayers are always needed for Haiti and the Mission
"Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made know to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus."
Philippians 4:6-7
Prayer request and Praises:
Pray for the school children, staff and congregation going to and from the mission with the gang’s presence.
Pray for new supporters to maintain the 10th and 11th grades, and to add the 12th and 13th school grades.
Pray for God to prick someone’s heart to take on the position of treasurer and forwarding agent from Kenny.
Praise God for His continued provisions and protection over the mission.
Praise God for the van being received into the mission.

Thank you all for your interest, commitment, and prayers for the mission. I know without
the prayers, we would not be where we are today. I praise God for each one of you.
Kenny Lovelace, Treasurer

I can never express how blessed I am to be involved with SCM and the opportunity to work with Melio, a strong and wonderful servant of God to operate the mission. The are times we go a week or so and don’t correspond, but more so than not, we chat through WhatsApp several times a week. As for now, it’s the best I can do to be filled with the knowledge of what’s transpiring at the mission each week. I currently have enough interested individuals who want to go on a mission trip there, to fill two teams. The unfortunate reality is, even if the process started today to install a solid government and outside help to control the gangs, it would take at least a year to make it safe enough for Americans to go over there again. I continue praying for this to happen so one day we can make a trip back to show them the love of Christ and lift them up as we have with trips in the past.
Amongst all that is going on there and in Melios words, Haiti is getting worse day by day, we need to continue to pray for Gods protection over the mission. I am so thankful and praise God that he has kept the mission safe from mishap over the years the government collapsed, and the gangs have taken over.
It is no accident Melio was led to the location of the land the mission is built on. It sets back off the main road, and one has to make several turns to reach the dead-end road the mission gate is located on. The story Melio told me about a large tree outside the mission’s main gate when the first wall was built, which was a tree those who worshiped Satan met to engage in Voo-Doo worship. He told me how the church would meet and pray to God to kill the tree so they would move to another location. After several years the huge tree did die and the village surrounding the mission came out with machetes and chopped on the tree until there was nothing left but the stump level at the ground. GOD IS GOOD! He tells us that we can ask for anything in His name and it will be given. We know as Christians that means anything that promotes the will of God.
After serving for 13 years as treasurer and working with Melio for 15 years, I have come to realize, I would not be the man of God that I am today if I had not got involved with this mission. It has shown me so much about true faith. About how to believe in our prayers before we as God for anything. About how to wait on God and know He will provide our needs. All of this and so much more I have been blessed to experience in the life lessons I witnessed by Melio, those at the mission and our faithful supporters.
Praise God from whom all blessings flow,
Kenny

These are pictures of the start of this year’s school, which started on Friday, October 3, 2025. We have 410 students, 1st to 11th grades, and 45 staff. All receives a lunch meal each day of the school year. It is amazing what Melio and his team at SCM can do with the funds we send to feed so many.
